Lawn care software for the weekly cut and the monthly bill
Put each yard on its day once, from the first cut in April to the last one in October. BestMate keeps the weekly and every-other-week lawns on the calendar, lets you move a rained-out visit without touching the rest, bills the flat-rate yards on the 1st, and lets new customers ask for a start date from your booking page while you mow.

Fifty lawns a week is a billing problem, not a mowing problem
The mowing is the easy part. It's the 50 small bills behind it: $45 here, $55 there, some per cut, some flat monthly. Then Tuesday rains out and half the week slides a day. Greg wants Friday instead of Monday and edging on the front beds, October has five Thursdays, and every April the new-yard calls come in while the mower's running. By the end of the month you're at the kitchen table working out who owes for four cuts and who owes for five.
Repeating cuts
Set each yard on its day once. Move a rainout one visit at a time.
In the mobile app, set the Whitfields to repeat every Monday from April 13 and end the series on October 30, or after 29 visits. Slower yards repeat every 2 weeks, fertilizer rounds every 6. When Tuesday rains out, open a visit, change the day and save it for this booking only: next week's cut stays on Tuesday. Assign each lawn to a crew member and they see their own yards with your notes.
- Weekly mow, trim and blow
- Every-other-week cut for slow-growing yards
- Fertilizer and weed control every 6 weeks
- Aeration each September, set to repeat yearly
- One visit moved for rain, the series left alone
Monthly billing
Four cuts or five, every yard gets the right bill
Put the flat-rate yards on a recurring invoice in the mobile app. It's emailed on the 1st with a Pay Now button until you switch it off, whether October has four Mondays or five. For the per-cut yards, every cut is already on the calendar, so the month-end invoice is a count, not a memory test: 5 cuts at $45, plus the $35 of edging Greg asked for. Customers pay by card, ACH or PayPal, the invoice marks itself paid, and cash at the door is recorded by hand.
- Flat $165 a month, emailed on the 1st
- Per-cut yards invoiced at month end or after each cut
- Edging added as its own line, $35
- HOA common areas on their own monthly invoice
- One email reminder on the due date if it's still open
Booking page
New yards sign up at 9pm, not on your voicemail
In April the calls come while the mower's running. Put your booking page link on your website, your Google listing and the side of the truck, and new customers ask for a first cut themselves: their address, what the yard needs, and a pick from your next open times. Those times sit inside your hours, skip what's already booked, and start at least 12 hours out. You get an email, they're added as a lead, and the request turns into an estimate or a booking you set to repeat.
- Weekly mow, front and back, starting next week
- Spring cleanup before the first cut
- Every-other-week mowing for a corner lot
- Aeration request in September
- Every request added to your leads
Your website
The yard sign sends them to a site that's already yours
A yard sign in a freshly cut lawn only works if it points somewhere. Every BestMate account comes with its own website, in your colors, with up to four services, your crew and a gallery of your best yards. Neighbors tap to call, send a message that lands in BestMate as a request, or hit Book and pick a time. You edit it from your phone, and from the Basic plan up the BestMate team can connect a domain you already own.
- Mowing, cleanups, aeration: up to 4 services
- Photos of your best yards in the gallery
- Tap to call, message or book
- Messages land as requests, with the customer as a lead
- Your own web address from day one
Fall extras
Price the aeration while you're still on the lawn
Aeration, overseeding and leaf cleanup are where the season's margin is, and they're easy to forget by the time you get home. Build the estimate on your phone at the curb, with the starter fertilizer and the leaf cleanup as add-ons the homeowner can tick, and text it before you pull away. You're told when they open it, so you can call while they're looking. When they sign, it becomes the job or the invoice with every line already filled in.
- Core aeration, up to 1/4 acre, $165
- Overseeding with a tall fescue blend, $195
- Starter fertilizer as a tick-box add-on, $70
- Fall leaf cleanup and haul away, $325
- Spring cleanup and bed edging
Crew and timesheets
Your crew sees their yards. You see their hours.
Each crew member gets their own login and, if you set it, sees only the lawns assigned to them, with the gate code and your notes on each. They tap Clock In at the shop and Clock Out after the last yard. On Friday the timesheet report totals everyone's hours for the week, to two decimals, and emails it to you as a CSV, so payroll isn't worked out from memory. A forgotten clock-out gets fixed on the web.
- Own login for each crew member
- Only their assigned yards, if you choose
- Clock In at the shop, Clock Out after the last yard
- Weekly hours per person, emailed as a CSV
- A missed clock-out fixed on the web
Set the season once. Spend it mowing.
